 $ tree spell work

Now accepting submissions for a healing zine by & for black, indigenous & people of color on how we use supplies from the $ tree for healing, herbalism and kitchen witchery.
*Put on your thinking hats-
How do our practices differ or have stayed the same from that of our ancestors, does it look different from how we grew in it? What does the lack of access to wealth mean? What does the knowledge in some cases to our ancestors and kin mean when we don’t plant and get our herbs from backyards anymore but dollar trees and flea markets? What does it mean when we form our own ways because the paths to our homelands are not accessible to us anymore?

deadline is Nov 15, 2018

what to send? Short essays and narratives (tops 300 words), histories, guides, shopping lists, material lists, interesting ways to use items at your dollar tree, artwork +more
