The MAIZ Chronicles was a project I edited that was comprised of writings and artwork from women of color. MAIZ stands for Mujeres Activitas Insurgentes y Zinestas, women activists insurgents and zinesters.
Chapbook style collection of poetry, articles, artwork and more by writers and artists including Alexis Pauline Gumbs, Lauren Jade Martin, Nadia Abou-Karr, Veruska Outlaw and Noemi Martinez.
Please do not sell this at your distro. Send me a convo if you’d like to stock this or other zines I have available as downloads.
If you are an instructor or teacher or want this in your zine library/ and would like to use this in your class, please let me know as you can often use your dept funds to purchase at the institution price.
*this was originally uploaded to Etsy in the year 2013! How has the radical writings changed since then or has the scene changed?
This is a perfect example of how zines can be used to demonstrate what was going on during that time frame, to tell our own stories, hold space in history and make space. <3 <3
